Cleveland ‘09 Launcher

A driver that is very easy on mishits is very important. This driver has that quality, and more so. I took it out for a spin, and I really enjoyed it. There are a few cons I feel affect this club pretty badly though, but to other golfers, it may not be that bad. I really enjoyed having the freedom to hit the ball harder, and farther, with this huge face, mishits weren’t bad at all. I would just get little pushes and pulls here and there. This driver also feels pretty swing-able, which is a plus, although it is somewhat heavier. At $299.99, this driver speaks for itself, with great performance. This definitely is one of the most forgiving and long drivers I’ve played. » Read more: Cleveland ‘09 Launcher

Cleveland CG14 Wedges

July 31st, 2009 No comments »

Some of the coolest looking wedges I’ve seen, are the Cleveland CG14. Along with a very nice appearance, they also have great performance. Sticking the ball to the green with these is easy as pie. These wedges feature the Cleveland Gelback Technology, so some of the vibrations are absorbed, although not as much as the Cleveland CG7 irons. These wedges produce the most spin I’ve ever had, due to their very efficient zip groove technologies. Distance control is pretty simple, because these are very swing-able. These are probably the easiest wedges I’ve used, because no matter how you hit it, you can always produce the spin you want, and stick the ball where you want it. » Read more: Cleveland CG14 Wedges

Wilson Fybrid Hybrids

These hybrids have been looked over for a while, and I think people should really see how great they perform. These are easily the best hybrids I’ve used so far in my golf career. Earlier before I used these, and I used Taylormade Burner Rescue Hybrids, and I thought that’s what the mainstream was like for the hybrid, until I tested these. I used mostly the 4 hybrid, but I’m positive the other hybrids perform the same. » Read more: Wilson Fybrid Hybrids

Taylormade R9

A great driver is really hard to come by, but with this driver, it becomes much easier. Taylormade really nailed it with this driver. Although I hit the Taylormade R9 460 better, I hit this driver nicely too. First off, this driver feels EXTREMELY hittable from address, the feel just is great to the hands. The grip is wonderful as well, it’s very soft but very tacky. Also, on impact, the club doesn’t slow down which I like, because a hot face on a club feels a lot better to me. » Read more: Taylormade R9
